The students will be getting out tomorrow at 1:30, enjoy your Christmas Break.

Biome Project

We are working on a biome project this week. Along with creating a poster and writing a paper the students will all help to create a web page. The web page can be found at the following link. Please remember that this is a work in progress and we will be adding to it a little each day.

Biome Project

We have a popcorn sale on Friday, $0.50 a bag.

We will have early dismissal on Friday, December 12, 2014. The students will be out at 1:30.

Just a reminder that if you are looking for the spelling and vocabulary words can be found on the blog. We are currently in Unit 2 Week 5.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Reading Changes

Starting this week we will start having a 5 day reading week. This means that we will test on Fridays. The students are now use to the testing and how our new reading program works so we feel that this would be a great time to start back into a 5 day week. This should be a fun learning experience for everyone. If you have any concerns that come up please let me know.

Leaders

We had our first quarter leadership assembly on Thursday!

It was led by the student leaders for September and October. We are so proud to have Matthew as the leader for the second grade!

What an awesome group of K-5 students ready to start first thing in the morning!

Then we had a student leader lead the Pledge of Allegiance and School Mission statement:

Student leaders read about why each student leader was chosen from Kindergerarten-5th Grade, and gave them medals:

The fifth grade leader demonstrated why he was chosen by his peers, as he assisted students with difficult words to read:

Students with perfect attendance and no tardies for the 1st quarter were recognized with singing and dancing:

Final pictures of the leaders:

Lunch with the principal and student leaders. Thanks Chick Fil A for the student lunches!

It's November!!!

Wow it is November already! I can't believe we have made it through the first quarter. Thank you to all the parents who came to conferences. I love sharing how great your student is doing in class.
